About Ron
Ronald Patron, known as Ron, is a Senior Engineer in Purple Engineering's estimating and quoting team, which prepares quotes for FLTR's filtration products alongside the wider Purple range. He is a mechanical engineer with 35 years in industry.
Most of Ron's career has been spent inside process plants. He was Reliability, Maintenance and Project Manager at Orica Nitrates, Senior Reliability Engineer at copper smelter and refinery PASAR, and Project Manager and Business Development Manager at BTSMC Managing Solutions, working across manufacturing, mining, chemical processing and oil and gas.
His project experience includes greenfield project management for an FMCG printing plant, a rehabilitation assessment of an ammonium nitrate plant, and managing the transition of an oil refinery into an oil depot hub.
That reliability background shapes how he approaches estimating. Having been responsible for keeping process plants running, Ron understands what a filter, housing or vessel has to cope with once it is in service. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology and joined Purple Engineering in 2022.
